Severe weather

As soon as we receive a report from the weather service about an impending storm, we will inform you. Please heed and follow the announcements and keep calm. Be considerate of other visitors and follow the instructions of security and stewards.

- You are safest in closed vehicles during a storm. These protect you from flying objects and hailstones better than your camping tents and also offer very good protection from lightning strikes. Out of consideration for your health, you should not touch any metal in the vehicle.

- The following applies to motorhomes during thunderstorms: disconnect the 230 V cable on the outside and close all openings. You are safest in the driver's cabin. Avoid the alcove, touching the roof and metal parts

- Also show consideration for other festival visitors who do not have a closed vehicle and offer them a place to stay for the duration of the storm. We all want to continue celebrating in good health.

- Stay away from metal objects during a thunderstorm, as they conduct lightning well. Lightning is also particularly attracted to metal and tall objects.

- Therefore, avoid proximity to all large metal structures such as stages, FOHs, barriers, construction fences, scaffolding and towers. You should also stay away from trees.

- If you are unable to find shelter, crouch low, keep your feet together and cross your arms and legs. Under no circumstances should you lie flat on the ground! Avoid hollows with rainwater and do not use umbrellas.

- Please note that objects or branches can fly through the air in strong winds.
- Your tents offer you no protection against lightning strikes and little protection against flying objects or hailstones.
Security, stewards and police will be available to help you if necessary.
