Handicap

The W:O:A always strives to optimize the service for festival visitors with disabilities and to enable them to enjoy the festival as fully as possible. The Wheels of Steel area was set up especially for this purpose. This area has its own small band counter to keep distances as short as possible for you. This is reserved exclusively for users of the Wheels of Steel area!

Accompanying person:

Once again this year, we are offering severely disabled visitors the opportunity to bring a companion free of charge. To do so, the disabled metalhead must have a valid admission ticket and a disabled pass with the "B" (accompanying person) symbol.

The disabled person and their companion must go to the band counter, show their disabled pass and ticket and then receive the festival wristbands for themselves and their companion (important: the original ticket with valid tear-off and disabled pass/mark "B" must be presented at the band counter).

We ask for your understanding that the organization cannot allow people without the "B" in their disabled pass to be admitted. Visitors with disability IDs from abroad should contact handicap@wacken.com in advance.

Camping regulations for people with disabilities:

You can find detailed regulations for metalheads with disabilities and all offers that we provide in this context in our inclusion area:

https://www.wacken.com/en/information/inclusion-2024/

With these measures, we hope to make the event as accessible and inclusive as possible on the festival site.

Food in the infield

Medically required food must be registered with Alstearbeit via wacken@alsterarbeit.de. Alternatively, you can stow it in your bag and have it checked and approved for the infield at the Alsterarbeit Service Point in the Wheels of Steel area.

Contact person on site:

The contact person for all matters concerning fans with disabilities is Alsterarbeit.

If you have any questions or problems, please contact us on 04827/999 66 940 or at handicap@wacken.com.

During the festival:

In addition to the above-mentioned telephone number, there will be other contact persons from Alsterarbeit available to you at the info point for disabled people in the Wheels of Steel area. They will help you from Sunday, July 28, 2024 to Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Alsterarbeit staff will also be happy to help you with repairs (if necessary at cost price) and maintenance of your aids. You can reach the Alsterarbeit colleagues by telephone on 0162 6904343.
